Die Filme dieses Programms treten nicht nur gegeneinander im Publikumswettbewerb an, sondern sind auch für den mit 1.000 Euro dotierten Filmpreis des Presseclubs nominiert. Der am besten bewertete Film dieses Kurzfilm-Programms läuft nochmals im Finale des Publikumspreises am Samstag, 12.04.2025, um 19:00 Uhr.

The films in this program not only compete against each other in the audience competition, but are also nominated for the press club's film prize worth 1,000 euros. The best-rated film in this short film program will be shown again in the Audience Award final on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

Als sie durch eine Dokumentation herausfindet, dass er 1992 von rassistisch motivierten Anschlägen in Rostock betroffen war, sieht sie sich plötzlich mit Hungs Kultur und Geschichte konfrontiert.
Anna, who was born in Germany, has a distant relationship with her father Hung and his country of birth, Vietnam. When she finds out through a documentary that he was affected by racist attacks in Rostock in 1992, she is suddenly confronted with her father's culture and history.

Es ist Koku, die beginnt, ihre dokumentarische Geschichte über das Aufwachsen als schwarzes Mädchen in Deutschland und die Blicke, mit denen sie in ihrer frühen Kindheit konfrontiert wurde, zu erzählen.

Dieses filmische Requiem thematisiert den sich verschlechternden Zustand der Gesellschaft nach dem Anschlag, sowie die intimen Gefühle von LGBTI+ Menschen, einschließlich des Autors selbst.
Unterdrückte Emotionen können nicht einmal in einem Selbstverteidigungskurs gefiltert werden, zu dem die Teilnehmer eigentlich nicht wollen, zu dem sie aber aufgrund ihrer Angst gezwungen sind. Müssen die Menschen wirklich in Angst leben?
October 12, 2022 – a terrorist attack in Bratislava – the death of innocent LGBTI+ people – no political response. Film-requiem discusses the deteriorating state of society after the attack, as well as the intimate feelings of LGBTI+ people, including the author himself. Suppressed emotions cannot be filtered even on a self-defense course, where the participants do not belong, where they are forced to be because of their fear. Do people really need to live in fear?
